The last torque at 35ft lbs and the 1st bolt head twists right off. ARGH!!!!!! Looks like it'll be my first time extracting a bolt, any tips?

Do you have a set of easy outs?

This happened on my psc covers. If the bold broke uneven and has a lip on it you may be able to back it out with a flathead. (the bolt shouldnt have pressure on it, just sitting in there freely) It worked for me but i got lucky!
Goodluck!

If you sheared the head clean off the rest of the bolt should back out pretty easily. I would try using a small pair of needle nose pliers and a small flat head screw driver or a pick. See if you can twist it out. If there is nothing to grab ahold of then an easy out will be your friend here.

Welcome to the world of custom Jeep parts!

If it's not screwed in tight, you can groove it with a dremel and use a flathead screwdriver to back it out.

Try this first. Unless the bolt is bottomed out or the threads are buggered it should be loose. If not get done easy outs, and some GOOD sharp drill bits. Make sure you go in straight!!!!!

Look around, I've seen some extractors that are basically a backwards drill bit. Used with a reversible drill in reverse, makes easy work.

Sorry for your luck nothing agenst teraflex I personally like them, but when it comes to any bolts on my jeep I always go to the shop and buy grade 8 bolts !back on track now haha The dremil tool trick normally works.

Get a set of Easy out extractors. Just Drill it out insert the easy out Get a good set of vise grips attach them to the end of the easy out. Tap the easy out with a hammer lightly turn and tap at the same time it should just back out with ease. As a Air-framer we get Flight line idiots that over torque and shear bolts on panels and other stuff all the time. Then its our job/problem to fix their mess up.

Just dont break the easy out. Use the right size. If you break the easy out then your going to have to use a carbine milling tool to get that tool grade steel out and that becomes even more of a pain in the ass. Yes I have snapped one off in a extraction hole in a bolt. Its not fun.

This is what you need
