Default warrenty

Does anybody know if adding a lift kit will void warrenty. I am also worried about bigger tires nd wheels causing damage with transmission and other drive parts. I am looking at getting a jk 4 door and adding a 4" lift with 37 " tires. What are some of the other things i should be changing. Thanks for any help that can be offered.

This should help you out...

Federal Warranty Laws
1.The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302(C))

This federal law regulates warranties for the protection of consumers. The essence of the law concerning aftermarket auto parts is that a vehicle manufacturer may not condition a written or implied warranty on the consumers using parts or services which are identified by brand, trade, or corporate name (such as the vehicle maker's brand) unless the parts or service are provided free of charge. The law means that the use of an aftermarket part alone is not cause for denying the warranty. However, the law's protection does not extend to aftermarket parts in situations where such parts actually caused the damage being claimed under the warranty. Further, consumers are advised to be aware of any specific terms or conditions stated in the warranty which may result in its being voided. The law states in relevant part:

“No warrantor of a consumer product may condition his written or implied warranty of such product on the consumers using, in connection with such product, any article or service (other than article or service provided without charge under the terms of the warranty) which is identified by brand, trade or corporate name...” (15 U.S.C. 2302(C)).

there's many things to consider when you're going to go with 37's.
Here's what I did on my TJ with a 5.5 long arm lift with 35's
1. Gearing (I think this is the most important factor)
2. Power improvement (Borla Header, Cat back etc..)
3. Brute force intake systems

But I believe you will need to find out from your mechanic about proper gearing and speed calibration.

I sold my TJ and bought a JK, as of right now I love the smooth ride and don't have any plans on any mods until I start wheeling again. (maybe get a pair of A/T tires, cuz I've heard the Goodyears were not that good)

good luck and happy jeeping

Sorry, I completely bypassed your second set of questions

With 4" of lift and 37's, I would definitely regear to 5.13's and consider installing a set of new drivelines like JE Reel makes.
