Warning on Budget Boost and Sway Bar..

Okay, but when you said you "noticed it immediately when I put the BB on & dropped the front end down off of the jack, they flexed/folded the wrong direction immediately", did you drop your front end with your shocks on or with them off?

With the Tera Flex BB lift.. On a Rubicon with shock extensions. Its the Rubi's Electric Sway bar that limits wheel travel.. Therefore when swaybar links are fully extended they then flop and fold back the wrong way.. In order for this lift kit to be complete for the Rubicon you must have extended front sway bar links.. Unless your a pavement princess.. jk...

I have to say, the entire time I was riding on this lift, I NEVER experienced the problem you have had - not once or even close to it. I'm not saying that it didn't happen to you, I'm just not sure how it happend based on my personal experience. And, when you say things like Need I say, "In order for this lift kit to be complete for the Rubicon you must have extended front sway bar links", I have to admit that I do have a hard time agreeing with it.

Well, here's a few shots of my Rubicon Unlimited pavement princess with TeraFlex 2.5" BB, shock extensions and.... at a full flex:

You can't tell from these pics but in all honesty, my passenger side bumpstop was making full contact with the lower spring perch and the driver side tire was sitting about an inch off the ground when they were taken. If that's not a full flex, I don't know what is. Now, when you say that your springs "drop about 1.5" -> 2" inches", are you talking about down from the upper spring perch? If so, you are getting way TOO MUCH droop and that is your problem and what I've been trying to figure out all this time. A properly installed and proper fitting lift should not allow this condition to occur. Just out of curiosity, do you have your bump stop extensions installed? Also, just to confirm, you are using stock Rubicon shocks with your extensions? Because your shocks alone shouldn't allow this condition to occur.

My lift is completely installed with all bumpstops.. I followed your write-up completely.. Now I'm a little concerned why my springs are coming loose if you say they shouldn't .. My lift is with shock extensions and factory Rubi shocks.. Now I called Tera Flex and they stated that yes they have heard of this and there reasoning is there are many different load and spring heights for the JK.. and OH well..

Yup... I will post some pictures later tonight.. I guess I just need to go ahead and purchase a real lift kit.. Not a BB.. Not that is not a good lift. because for the price its great..

If you could, that would be very helpful. As far as your kit goes, you should be fine with the way it is now and new longer links will definitely prevent the problem you are having now.

When everything was installed & I was dropping the front end down with a floor jack (after taking jackstands out), I heard metal contact as the jack was letting it down the last couple inches. I saw that something was wrong with the front end as it was sitting way too high & I immediately saw that the sway bar & links had flexed/pivoted forward/down instead of up/back.
I jacked it back up & using a piece of wood was able to push the connecting joint backwards on both sides as it was let down.
