Warn m8000 clicking but not working
The other day I got stuck in my aunts backyard (don't ask:.totally didn't intend on wheeling, was trying to help out my cousin with his atv) anyhow, after a while I realized I had to winch myself out so I free spoiled the cable out just fine. When I went to hook up the remote to the winch it just clicked. Nothing. Just "click"
Took the cover off and checked for loose wires-nothing was loose hit I tightened anything I could
After about 4 hours of just staring at this thing a buddy of mine reached under the solenoid and messed around and pushed down on the solenoid too and it started working
It worked after that but sparked from under the solenoid. Haven't touched it since
Anyone know what could be the problem? Really need it fixed before the weekend (wheeling plans on Sunday)
Thanks

Loose/frayed connection? One or more solenoids going bad? Pull it apart and check, maybe post a pic or three?

Yeah, it would suck if it is. But it sounds more like a loose/frayed connection from this:
Hard to say without actually being in front of it and seeing what's going on.

If you can push on a solenoid to complete the circuit, then something isn't making contact, i.e. a loose connection.

That's what I'm thinking. One thing is for sure, there was quite a bit of corrosion inside on the solenoids and wondering if maybe just a bad contact could be doing it too. What sucks is that I tested this before going out. It's an on and off kind of situation so I hope my fix is a definite one and not temporary. Don't wanna be in a bad situation out on the trails Sunday haha
