WARN 9.5xp Self-Recovery Winch VS. 9.5ti Thermometric Self-Recovery
#2
The 9.5ti is a higher end winch. It offers two advantages over the 9.5xp
First, the 9.5ti doesn't require an external solenoid box. This makes it more resistant to the elements. It also makes it easier to mount for some applications.
Second, the 9.5ti has a little red light that will start to flash to warn (pun intended) you when it's starting to get hot. That way you'll be less likely to damage your winch by overheating it.
Other than that, they are similar. Both come with steel cable, both have the same gear ratio, and I think that they have the same motor...maybe with slightly better seals on the 9.5ti.

This is true - I wasn't aware of that until you posted it, VictorS.
Not a big difference, but the XP is a little bit faster.
For some reason the TI is faster without load
It doesn't make a pile of sense to me, given that they both have the same gearing and the same rated pull on each wrap of the drum.
One thing that is certain - you won't regret buying either one. I've made some pretty good pulls with my 9.5ti and it never missed a beat.
