If your balljoints ware out you're going to drop 11k on 60s as opposed to spending $100 on balljoints?

Should have spent $200 on an Aussie instead of $750 for E-locker. But if I don't toast it I can always get like $400 for the carrier. But most likely I'll run my poor dirty 30 to the ground 😎

Run what you have into the ground. That's my plan & then figure out a plan lol

If it ain't broke then don't fix it!

I agree with you on the Aussie but I still don't think you made a bad decision. I don't know your finances nor all the details surrounding your jeep but I do know, in my case at least, it's hard to swindle 5k away on axles without the wife finding out..

Id like to clarify that the d44 tubes aren't the same size.

They are larger diameter but the wall is the same thickness. Everything else is the same as far as the housing, besides the diff part of course.

But yeah, like I said, I've ran my 100% stock d30 on 37s for a year now with moderate wheeling every week usually multiple times and I daily drive it, and I've not had one single issue. Not even worn my ball joints out yet. I've probably put about 10-15k on the tires so far. Still have 2/3rd tread left on the trusty ole trail grapplers.

I have c-gussets for it but they're just sitting in the garage. I don't think I'll need them but I'll eventually weld them on anyway.

And y'all need to build junkyard 60s instead of spending 11k on aftermarket ones....learn to weld and you can do 1-tons for about 5-6k probably...maybe a tad more or less

Lol thanks for the advice.....6k is still a hefty bit of money, though.

Looks good!! I like those custom tube doors you made. You going to powder coat them or bed-line them? I think bed-liner would be easier to touch up but Powder coating would look nicer. Its a toss up on paint.

If 6K were to disappear from our accounts and end up on the Jeep.... there would be a dead man... but a Nice Jeep
