I would guess that the factory bumper doesn't weigh much more than about 30 lbs. A steel bumper will cause some sag, but for $30 or $40 you can get a 1" spacer for the front to level things back out.

Default New bumper - will it sag

I have a Rubicon, the factory bumper without the tow-hooks weighs about 25 lbs. I'm looking at adding the AEV full-width bumper, weighs in at 120 lbs.

I placed a tape measure next to the bumper sitting on a flat surface. Let's say it measured 29 1/2 inches - I sat on the bumper holding on to the tow hooks and had the wife check the measurment, it had only dropped a 1/4 inch, and I weigh 172.

So, this should give you some idea what to expect - it depends on the model and the suspension (i.e.shocks).

Just my 0.02 cents
