I would start with the flat fenders and read the threads for new people and lifts that are listed.

TeraFlex suspension kits have a Lifetime Warranty that even covers our shocks, plus we didn't leave anything out of our kits.

In all honesty, I love my setup for everyday useage. Teraflex leveling, with Monroe reflex monotube shocks, and adding 19/60 springs for some extra weight carrying capacity. I get a bump in wheel and ground clearance, still handles and drives great on the road and I have wheeled it pretty good and it works great! NO COMPLAINTS.

The only complaint is the teraflex swaybar links. even with the redesign, im wearing out the bushings in them. TF, I think the dual ball joint setup would be the answer. Im not sure if its because of the envionrment im in, or the amount of miles that go on my rig.....any ideas?

I am not really knocking TF either, im running their tailgate hinge, diff covers, and some other odds and ends too. I love their customer service, second to none. every time I have a question or issue, its resolved that day! TF is an awesome company!

Default Rancho 2"

Hey so I'm pretty green when it comes to all this stuff, this seems like an appropriate thread to post this in. I'm thinking about getting a Rancho 2" lift for my 13' sport it seems like for the price point you literally can't beat it. I'm going to smack 33s on it. My 2 questions are do I need to get anything else with this lift i.e control arms, sway bars (although I'll probably get discos at some point) anything else? A lift so small is pretty much plug and play right? Also has anyone installed this lift and have pictures I would love to see.

Welcome. It's best to start your own thread instead of hijacking another. If 33's are your final size you don't need a lift. Just expect a drop in mpg. Read the Stickie threads regarding lifts.

I went with the Rancho 4" Sport Lift with RS9000XL adjustable shocks and love them. I have heavy bumpers and tire carrier and winch and I haven't lost any height.

Why 4" when 35 or larger would work with 3? I live and trail in Florida where it gets wet (muddy, swampy) and I want to stay above it all. For mountain climbing I would have gone shorter to decrease roll-over chances.

I like the idea of an "engineered" system. Buying the complete kit with lift, springs and shocks from the same supplier designed to work together made sense.

Whatever you choose, enjoy!

If you're looking at the Rancho 2" kit because its the cheapest, then buying other parts to make it complete, why buy it in the first place? You'll need to extend your bump stops, add longer sway bar disconnects, and your caster will be off slightly too.

If you're on a budget and will not be adding any other weight I'd suggest just a TeraFlex Leveling Kit, or the TF 2.5" Budget Boost. These two choices are simple to install, will fit 33's perfectly, and cheap. If you add a high-end lift later you can usually sell the parts for a good deal.

I added the AEV geometry correction brackets to the TF 2.5" BB and the ride improved drastically!
