Uuuggghhh!!! Can't decide...32 or 33?
Decisions decisions, I can't decide between getting Rubicon 17" take-offs with 32" mud terrains, or replacing my 255/70-18s A/Ts on my stock Sahara wheels with something in a 33 (and should I go A/T or M/T?).
I am installing, and they are on their way here already, a Rock Krawler JK 1.75" Budget Based L.T. System (PN: RKKRKJKBBLT) and a set of Spidertrax JK 2007-14, 1.5 Inch Wheel Spacers.
My goal is to retain or improve factory drive and handling with gaining a little more ground clearance and a more aggressive look. I don't plan on rock crawling. I do hunt and fish using rutted farm and logging roads. And drive the jeep 200 miles each way to my in-laws on the shore (Cape Cod) on summer weekends. I do intend to get a beach pass for the beach. So this rig is a 85%+ daily driver for work, the rest as mentioned above.
Guess my questions are things like is 33" even needed? Is it worth the cost? What's the highway drive going to be like between my options. Is 17" rubber cheaper than 18" rubber? Sidewall sizes? The level kit is going on and the spacers are going on with my stock wheels.
Thoughts? Opinions?

i use both my 33s are actually 32s in actual height
so its realy no move up for me in height but i like to swap back and forth between them and thier both good tires id say no you dont need 33s and its realy just looks thats the factor i do like the wider stance too but in winter months i go back to the stock bfg and thier good on gas and good in all conditions

I have 285/70/17 BFG mud terrains and they are great in everything except snow here in west michigan...wish I had kept the narrower stock tires for the winter, these are wide and very little siping for slick traction... when it is slick out I take my AWD outlander with snow tires on it before I will take my jeep...unless snow it too deep then the jeep does decent...1"-2" snow just have to take it easy, small grades in 2wd are harder than it should be. I heard of people siping the center section of lugs but I am not a fan of that. I will just buy some unsuspecting persons brand new take-offs on craigslist and be ready to go next year...I love the look and the capability of the mud terrains just not with long winters
