I think the AEV kit is $5k. hemi's are cheaper than the install kit.

My Hemi and trans were $3000 (being from a Commander saved a lot of $$)
Back-ordered kit will be $5300
Extras: GC srt8 p/s pump $200
Driveshaft $200 to $400
Tailshaft housing $100
GC srt8 intake hose $100
Another $300 or so I'm guessing in supplies or other stuff that has been forgotten, lost or broken in the process.

Labor: Me and I'm cheap

Looks like I MAY have the old drive-train sold already, so credit <$1400>
Then sell my current Hypertech and Intake <$400>

Total of @ $7200 to $7400 for a Hemi.
Maybe, just maybe a bit less if I can sell the rad, wiring and the rest of the left overs.

I like the steering wheel swap. I hate the JK's cruise control location / functions.

Do the radio controls on the back of the wheel work.

I posted the question on another forum a while back of being able to do what you have already done. They all told me I was crazy for even thinking about messing with steering wheel with an airbag in it...

Apparently it was the CJ and YJ crowd doing the talking

Essentially a foot rest for the left side. My JK is an automatic so I had a lot of room for my left foot to flail about.

I think the switches on the back side are actually for the 'triptronic' functions of the automatic in the GC. I'd love to be able to incorporate that in my hemi swap, but one thing at a time.

The buttons on the back are for switching between sat/fm/am/cd etc. and volume for the stereo.
I've had an SRT8 Cherokee and my wife has a Commander now; same steering wheel.
