Not question the OP driving with out it to get welded. A couple post above claim some people go with out a track bar on the rear.

I think a lot of people run without a rear sway bar. Not many people (none in my experiences) run without a rear track bar.

The vehicle is not safe to drive with a failed rear track bar. The track bar keeps he axle from moving side to side and with out it your rear end will drive the vehicle around and handling will be unpredictable.

Dont confuse a sway bar with a track bar.

Agreed. Driving without a rear track bar is a whole different animal than no rear sway bar. I never ran a rear sway bar on my previous jeep.

Sorry guys, just got back on. A one is this the trac bar, or sway bar? I'm not sure what was done to it, I bought it, and the list was done already.

That aftermarket mount on the track bar breaks the stock mount more then you know

Couple of options get the stock mount welded back on and buy a better rear track bar mount or grind off the stock mount and get a custom mount welded to the axle

Sorry I just looked at the first pictures better

Grind off the rest of the stock mount and get a new mount welded on

Trac bar to answer your question. Sway bars run vertically from axel to frame. I have quick disconnects in the front the rear I
have never disconected them. Never really in a spot where I need that much articulation...so far.
