Tough one to answer. If I wanted to punch it at this speed, I would probably downshift to get my rpms around 2500 and then punch it. If I didn't downshift, in 4th I would say a few secs. It is hard to explain, but 2500 rpms seems to be the sweet spot for this turbo to start pulling hard. Is yours a stick or auto?

Congrats on the kit! This sounds odd, as this is the first thing that you must do before you even start installing the kit. Like you said, talk to Wes, he will get it sorted out for you.

I have an auto. From how you explained it, there is almost (Almost) no lag. In an auto it would be comparable to a normal punch it and wait for the trans to down shift and go! This turbo kit is getting more and more interseting.. For those that already have it or are in the process, thank you for answering my questions. I apologize if I hacked a couple times!

Default Project sorted!!!

Okay, the exhaust leak that mattered most turned out to be a leak at the passenger side manifold. Yeah that's right I was loosing pressure even before the turbine and on top of that I had boost leak cuz some dummy forgot to install that little signal tube that runs from the compressor to the waste gate...no idea who that was

After buttoning it back up I took it back out for some road testing and all I can say is OMG

Now the boost comes in so hard that it lifts the front and hurls it down the road like it has a rocket strapped to it. It actually feels like when you're on the taxi way in a jet when they power up to take off from 3000 rpm up. Way too much power and speed for a Jeep, but I'll try to manage

First gear has too much gear, but second quickly runs up to 50 and third to 60-70 mph in a flash then in 4th I had to let off before red line cuz it scared me it was going so fast. I mean faster then a Jeep should go. OMG it's fun!!!

Would I recommend this kit? Um let me think...YES!!!

I was gonna do one tonight with my iPhone but decided there are just too many one handed shaky vids out there already so I'll get a passenger to ride along an shoot the vid. Wounder if I can get my neighbor to scream like a girl if I red line 4th gear? It's worth a try
