turbo

If the question is about longevity with the turbo I would say no unless you pull the entire engine down and rebuild to withstand a turbo. That would be studded head bolts, cam suitable for turbo, forged lower compression pistons, connecting rods with improved bearing shells, valve springs changed, higher flow injectors, manifolds for turbo, turbo, intercooler, ECU programming. All in all that is not a big list but I bet you are looking at over $10,000 to do that and that does not include auto modifications if it is the case then add better clutch if manual. That 3.8 is quite a stout engine but the pressures forced induction apply are way more than original design.
You can put a turbo on just about anything - run it hard for a few weeks and it is gone as that temptation to "show" everyone is always there. I know that as I just want to show those cocky JL's/Gladiators that I can spank their asses with my Chev power but I don't. The badges on the side get enough respect.

yup data is king, retired Ultra Pure Water plant, Waste Plant and Utility Plant operator/manger..its all about the numbers... see too many engine Mods to bump power with no thought to drive train, and lower end issues....

I'd be curious to hear how much boost is being run. If engine is healthy and that can be checked with a leadown test, I'm sure it will be fine for a while. Assuming you don't beat on it constantly.
