Tuffy or besttop truck enclosure??
I want to get a storage unit for my jeep since I just purchased a soft top for my 2011. I was going to get an under the seat Tuffy one but I always have a bunch of work related crap in my trunk. The Tuffy are pretty expensive, over $400. Anyone have any experiences with Tuffy, Besttops, or any other brand where it is def secure? I would also like to keep my weapon back there so it needs to be SECURE!

I have the tuffy model and i like it alot.
Very secure even with top and doors off. Only accessible from the rear door being opened. It is made of metal and the top slides back alittle when the door is open to allow u to lift the top up for better access but not when the rear door is closed.
It is also quick to remove the top and forward panel to have the entire truck available if needed.

Have had the Tiffy in for about a month and do not regret it one bit. Only hiccup was there is a set of seals that I needed to trim to allow the rear glass to seat properly. All in all a great looking and functioning unit. I would recommend it.

I have the tuffy as well and love it... Very functional and easy to take whole thing out once first put together if desired. The only thing is see as a negative is that with the top off the bots that secure the brackets to the left and right side of the body are exposed and i suppose could be removed allowing for the whole trunk to be pulled out... Would not be easy... But someone with some time and motivation could certainly do from what I can see.

I did not want to drill any holes in the tub unless I have to so, this is what I came up with. I guess this spot will only work on 2 doors with no back seat! It takes longer to unload the box than it takes to get it out!
I got the 37" DeeZee box shipped for like $265 and had the adjustable eye bolts. I just used a 4" grinder to cut a notch in the eye bolt ends so they had a hook end instead of a closed end. I screwed up my measurement on cutting the hole in the bottom, and would recommend using a piece of the cardboard box that it comes in to make a template.
I is held in nice and tight and is not going anywhere.

That is why, I got some security bolts when I had my Tuffy Deck!
