The don't flap unless you cut the support too much.

 

Bushwhacker flare are good if you need them for state requirement/laws. I like mine because the do keep the mud from slinging everywere. I will most likely replace them with PS or Metalclok when they get damaged. I do believe they look better than trimmed stock fenders and they have the side marker light.
