After much looking, and not seeing anything I like, that is also a reasonable cost, I have decided to make my own.
I will just use aluminum, and bend it to fit, and then mount them.
If damaged I can replace one in an hour that way, and for about 30 dollars.
The evolution ones look great I admit, but the price scared me for sure.

Should be by the end of June, or earlier.
I make parts all the time for custom sleds, etc.
So feel that a set of fenders should be one of the easier items I make.
And I always have aluminum around for making tunnels, bulkheads, motor mounts etc.
Not positive yet, but will likely pop-rivet them on, then they are easy to take off and replace if one gets damaged.
I already have an air rivet gun, and a rivet drill/driver to remove them.

Ok I agree with you about the tear aways as you call them but here's something you may want to reconsider. Just a mounting point? How about the protection they add such as built in corner gaurds? Some folks post how they rip off their fenders on a trail, if you rip off the ORE fenders you probably deserve it cuz you're not a good driver IMO. The PJ fenders were by far the best steel ones out until Mel developed these. They are not only sturdy but purdy that was for all you hillbillies that hit your fenders on trees . IMO tube fenders are made for rock crawling not mudhole drivers!
