I had the Or-Fab tube doors - absolutely top notch!

I had their stock mirror mounts but went to,the Rugged Ridge quick release mirrors and replaced the flat round mirrors with convex I found on Amazon.

That was a very nice setup but now I have Jeep half doors which is the ultimate setup IMO.

Sorry if this is a stupid question.
What is the purpose of tube doors again? Compared to just going doorless?

Haha i don't think it's a stupid question . I really don't see the purpose of tube doors except maybe for kids in the back seat. Even then, i don't think they offer much more than being doorless. When i'm doorless, i want doorless

I think it's mainly for the look, I agree when you take the doors off keep them off

They offer some protection offroad. If u roll or drop off a rock they will keep most rocks, trees and branches from entering the cabin. On road they offer the illusion of safety compared to doorless

Thanks, I know they're pretty expensive and for no real protection factor. I will wheel doorless.

Wasn't sold on the smittybilt bc of their latch system and the guy @ 4wheelparts showed me these. Awesome.got them for under $300. They lock and bolt on using factory hardware so nobody can walk off with your door atwalmart.
