As with most of these threads, my wallet is about I get lighter...question though on these Smittybilt tube doors: how's the functionality? I don't see any sort of latch/handle to open from outside the Jeep? Is there a handle/latch release something or other on the inside?

Words good, I like latch style for leverage (usually easier to open) but these are good....
They offer a more complete coverage like a half door, if you plan on putting a skin on em its better for that and they are definently heavy duty....with skins on em I'm not worried about putting it into the side of a rock or crevice.

Inside has a slide lever, I wasn't sure about it at first but after using them I like it....

They are easy I say fairly because the mechanism on a factory door is golden but there is a lot more going on in a factory door to make it smooth then a hitch style...
They are easy my 5yr old opens his up easily so its not a issue...don't sweat it...

I know they are pricey, and might be a bit hard to get a set of, but these things are as stout and well fitting as I can imagine a set of tube doors being. Made by Roughshod Offroad, they fit the factory catch from the box like they were factory made. No rattles. I did have to have them powder coated, but was aware of that before ordering. I like the way they " bulge " outward from the door frame and offer plenty of knee space. I feel safer from side impact than I do with the door on! They weigh in at about 33lbs apiece, so that gives you an indication of the strength of them. The customer service I received when ordering, and getting a set of these shipped to me made the decision to purchase, and recommend these doors an easy one. I know the website is now saying that all orders are on hold for now, but if you ever get the opportunity to invest in a set of these, I can honestly say I don't think you would ever regret it. These make me look forward to summer all year long! They come with door latch, mirror, and padded armrest. When I was looking for beefy, good fitting, well made tube doors, these were the only ones I even considered.
