Has anyone ever scratched the lens of their Trucklite headlight? I ordered a set and when they came the connector had scratched the lens during shipping. Which made me notice the lens and they do seem like soft plastic.

I accidentally scratched one of my lights, I used rubbing compound and a buffing pad on my drill to buff it out. The pad is the same one that comes in the meguars headlight restore kit. Depending on how deep the scratch is will determine how much you can get it to buff out.

I have had my set for 60,000 miles +/- a few. I live in Montana were winter conditions on the road can be pretty crappy and lots of sand/gravel etc. I have been thru 4 windshields and my current one is a year old and pitted pretty bad yet my trucklites are still clear and show very little pitting. I have been impressed with how well they have held up.

I did manage to scratch one when I first got it, thee was dirt and ice on both and on the first one I rubbed it a little too hard

As long as your careful the only scratches I have were very fine scratches, no pitting or anything

I wonder why they didn't use glass like other headlights?

while glass might be less susceptible to scratches it will break easier.
