What's the reasoning there?

We have a set that we've been running for about 30k and we just started having issues with the high beams. Every now and then they'll cut out to low-beam only even with the switch on hi.

We're still trying to sort out if this is a TL issue or if there's a bigger issue with the mopar factory switch or TIPM. Doesn't seem like a connection issue at first glance, otherwise we figure we'd experience issues with no lighting at all if the connectors had wiggled loose.

Corrosion is usually why these are having issues. We deal with trucklites Daily and about 1 in 1,000 is the actual Headlight Failure. 99% of the time its a connection issue.

Good info. This issue is new, so I haven't had a chance to get at the wiring yet. When I do, I'll make sure to inspect the connector pins for any kind of corrosion, clean them up, and will put them back together with dielectric grease and see if that helps.

The output and performance has otherwise been outstanding...we have 2 pairs, 2 JK's, wouldn't ever run with stock headlamps again. Stock forward lighting feels downright dangerous in comparison.

X2 here. I'm actually surprised they don't include a tube in the kit to help with corrosion issues. No big deal though, it is cheap insurance.

Simple adjustment screw and point the Jeep to a fixed object (i.e., your garage door) and aim them to no higher than 3.5 feet.
at what distance from the fixed object?

I put mine together nice and tight, but didn't think to use die electric grease. I'll be pulling mine apart soon and applying it. I did hit them with WD 40, though, so moisture would have a tough time getting in there.

I just ordered the dielectric grease from amazon. Now I get to take my grill back off and reconnect everything. Yay...

pick up super lube from harbor freight. It's not their brand and I'm surprised they carry it. Silicone based with Teflon and is dielectric. Excellent all purpose grease.
