trimming stock fender flares?
Any one have any luck with trimming their stock fender flares instead of buying the trimmed ones which are mega expensive especially if you have a 4 door. If so tell me how you did it and and pictures if possible thinking of doing mine to save money

It's super easy, just get yourself a jigsaw, some painters tape, and start cutting. Always leave yourself more than you think you need, see if you like it, and trim more. There is no "right" way to do it, make them as wide or skinny as you like.
These pictures should show you the underside pretty well. I dont have the inner liners because of the coilovers, but they trim up nicely.

Use this string, followed by what you want to find, in your search engine of choice.
site:www.jk-forum.com
site:www.jk-forum.com trim fenders
site:www.jk-forum.com chop fenders
One of the earlier/bigger threads on it:

There are many different ways to do it, and people will take off different amounts of fender material, so just look through a bunch of the threads and find the style you like.
My heads-up : cut-off wheels work, but they sling molten plastic slag everywhere. Don't use this as your first choice.

I did mine with a Dremel and a cut-off wheel, if I had to do it again I would have used a utility knife with a sharp razor. The Dremel cut fast, but threw slag all over, I spent more time cleaning up after it than if I'd used a sharp razor. I burned my Dremel out before I finished and did the last cut with the knife, cut easily and left a much smoother finish.

The only thing I'm probably gunna get angry about is trimming it now how I qant it so I'm gunna lay tape and cross my fingers. Probably gunna cut it with a knife. Don't have a compressor or a wiz wheel. Do you have to take the inner fender o the front out and cut it?
