Trimming REAR REAR pinch seam??

I'm running 4.5" lift (4" TF springs + 1/2" spacer). I run upper and lower rear arms (axle is pushed back some). I run 37" Mud Grapplers. I do not rub on the front pinch (in front of rear tires) seam so I have yet to do anything with them. I rubbed bad once on the rear pinch seam (behind the rear tires) so I bent those back with a BFH and then took spray bed liner to them.

I cut mine up higher where the metal flares out its filled with foam and I painted it with bed liner to keep the water out. Sorry no pics I put my wheel wells back in.
