Default Trektop Issues..

I got a smoking deal on a NIB original Trektop and I cannot get this thing on for the life of me! The front is so tight I can either get the passenger door or driver door but not both. I pulled and pulled but there was noway to get the top wrapped around the bars to velcro. Are there any tricks? Granted, I'm in the Seattle area and the high is 65-70, so sun is not an option. Any ideas? The rest of the top went on with no problem.

I did. This thing is super tight, I mean tight. I tried everything. I even unscrewed the rails to try and get some extra space which worked but then you obviously can't screw the rails back in. Lol

I put one on when it was 80, 85 and sunny and it was still a pain. I'd have to guess it's still a little cool and the lack of sun isn't helping any. I know it's not what you want to hear. Maybe a buddy could help with some leverage. The tops are really tight the first time you put them on and the cooler temps don't help.

Could you put a space heater in the jeep and warm things up?

Well I haver jeep parked in direct sunlight(temp is only 64 though) and I cranked the heat on. I'm gonna wait about 15 minutes and see if it helps.

Just for clarification. You need to wrap both rails and then velcro correct? I've just did this but it still doesn't look right and there are gaps on the front doors. I can stick my finger through one of them so so obviously rain will be an issue. I give up! I'm gonna take it to 4Wheel Parts tomorrow and see of they can get it on correctly.

So frustrating!! I've installed lifts, axles, and I even converted my 2WD JK into 4WD but I can't get a damn soft top on!!!

This is not what I like to hear. Have read other posts with them going on no problem, just a little tight. Was looking forward to ordering one soon. Maybe I'll wait!! Keep us posted and good luck
