If you want to go balls deep, go for their military 37x12.5x16.5 retread on Trailworthy beadlocks.

The only problem with 16.5" rims is they are going away like the dodo bird. They only are making them because of the Humvees. Well, they are switching the tire size on those, so the military take offs wont be around very long. Otherwise, I would be switching. When you have to buy 2 sets of 37's for both of my JKU's it gets expensive.

I had the 315 guard dog's on my old jeep, and they were awsome. just got an e-mail from them today that they have a new tire comming soon "the CLAW" They look like the rubicon tread. i will put these on my new JKU when i get my lift done. FYI the are remold's not retreads.

I have the guard dogs. Love them. My buddy has the wardens on his FJ and a good 25k on them. Still running strong. Love these tires.

I've ran 285/70-17 Wardens on my Duramax for about 30K miles. Can't speek for offroad performance much but they have been awesome on road. They've only got about 5-7K miles left in them but what do you expcet from a 7K pound truck on twisty roads.

If they have the right size and pattern they will be what goes on the JK when it is time.
