Default Tranny fluid question

Based off this picture, should I change my tranny fluid? I'm worried some water may have gotten in. I already changed engine oil and both diffs. What would you do? How hard is it to change the tranny fluid? This is a manual trans.

How many miles on the trans oil? Maybe it should be changed anyway.

If it's not time to change it, pull the fill plug and see if the oil is foamy or milky.
Or, carefully pull the drain plug to see if any water comes out.

It's got about 10500 miles on it. I ask because this is what came out of my diffs. Don't want the tranny looking like that.

You'll just need a special 17mm hex key. I bought a regular one and cut it down to turn it with a 17mm wrench.

If that's 10,500 on the Jeep, I would change the trans oil just to get the break-in residue out of it.
I like to do all the first fluid changes early for that reason.

Is there a fill plug like the diffs have on it?

ummm yeah of course, not sure if you have a manual or auto but on the manual it is above the drain plug on the side, auto is almost directly above the drain plug or just check the dip stick... you could try dipping your finger or a pipe cleaner works well if your fluid is low. this will give you an idea if the fluid is contaminated.

Yes, fill plug is on the passenger side of the transmission. It is a 14mm hex head that is easy to get out. The drain on the nsg370 is towards the front of the tranny right on top of the exhaust crossover and is a PITA like said above. U will need a custom tool or solution.
