Default Traildash vs Regear

I have a 2012 wrangler sport S with 3.73 gears. I just put 35" Tires on and was trying to decide to regear to 4.56 or to go with a chip like superchips Traildash. I like the shift points with 6 speed and the 3.73 gears but I the power is a little lacking! Of course money also plays a part: $500 for traildash and $1350 for gears. My question is the traildash give me some of the power back that I lost or should I just go with the regear? Has anyone have any experience with the traildash and the penestar? Thanks in advance

You won't get the same kind of power between the two. If regearing is an option (financially) then go that route. Read reviews on the traildash too. It looks like a good idea but I have a friend who sold his flashpaq, bought the traildash and didn't like it, sold it for a loss, and bought another flashpaq.

Gearing is a no brainer, no programmer is going to give the performance gained from gears.

As others recommend gearing by far.

I have the trail dash and wish I had just regeared but I've got a 6 speed. A auto would see some their shift points restored but you'll not get the power back you'd get out of regearing.

I'd not get the trail dash again. It is cool. It gives some power and helps but not worth the cost.
