Trail Grappler balancing problems
Has anyone else had an issue balancing their Trail Grapplers? I put 4.75Oz on the first spin, then it wanted 4.25Oz on the second spin. Everything I added weight, it wanted more elsewhere. I finally wound up putting 8oz of airsoft bb's in. I only did that as a last resort and to my surprise... no vibration up to 80mph. Kind of annoyed with these tires for a little bit there.

I'd break them down, make sure the beads are clean and well lubed, and remount them, making sure the beads are properly seated, then balance them again. Chasing weights on a spin-balancer is usually a placement issue. Pay attention to how the wheels are spinning as well as the tire. 4-5oz on a 80+ lb tire wheel combination is not out of the ordinary.

Right before EJS I swapped in a set of 37" MT ATZ P3s. Mounted on my TR beadlocks all five balanced with very little weight and ran smooth as silk. 4000 miles later I 5-way rotated them and had some vibrations front & rear. The tire shop struggled and mentioned the same issues as the OP, that the weight need kept shifting. They finally balanced with lots of weight, which is very puzzling. No significant wear, chunks or anything goofy on any of the tires.
