Trade in Jeep
Thinking about trading jeep. For anyone that has done this what is the best course of action - return to stock as much as possible or leave as is? Not trying to recover mod costs because I know that is not reality....but want to get most $$$ out of it possible. Anything below I should pull and try to replace with stock. Most worried about the flares since they change the look so much.
2.5 TF lift
Nitto TP with AEV Pintlers
Front and rear bumper
TF tire carrier
Bushwacker flat flares
2012 Rubi
Dual cat back exhaust.

When I traded my 2010, I returned it to stock as much as possible but I wanted to use the mods in the 2012 I was buying. This might be different from what you want. Are you trading for another JK? How much is the demod going to cost you if paying someone else?

Why trading? If you can wait, I'd list it private-party to see if there are any takers for a mostly new Jeep with some good mods.
At a minimum, I'd pull the aftermarket bumpers and return the bumpers to stock. Craigslist those suckers.

It seems that the dealer is not going to give you anything for your mods. When I traded my 2010 in they def didn't factor in the lifts tires ect, but I kind of expected that.

I didn't want to say what the new vehicle will be......but I can't stop reading/thinking about the new Subaru WRX STI. Jeep is great and I enjoy it but I get bored after a while and need to play with something new. I have a DD so the Jeep only has 6,500 miles in almost 2 plus years.

Why wouldn't you keep the jeep and replace your current DD with the WRX/STI? Ps. I recently traded this. I drive 50-60 miles a day <img src="https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=533680"/> For this <img src="https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=533681"/> :(

I might be wrong, BUT I think you will regret trading in your jeep for a car. I traded my 2010 Wrangler for a BMW 335i. Don't get me wrong the BMW was nice, and if I could afford to keep it and my jeep I would, but I missed having a jeep very soon after I traded it and I'm in my new 2013 Rubicon now. My jeep is a lot more than just what I drive, its my hobby and I really enjoy everything about the community. I learned that after I traded my first one. Def think it over and make sure this is what you want to do. I love my new Rubicon don't get me wrong, and having the 3.6 now is nice as well, but financially if I had kept the 2010 i would only have about a year left and it would have been paid off, now Im almost back at the start. I learned from my mistake and hope to keep my Rubicon till well after its paid off, and maybe then ill buy a nice car to go along with it.( I guess unless the next gen wrangler is super ridiculously awesome haha.)

if you are set on trading then I would run an ad to buy stock tires and rims and flares and then sell your aftermarket parts. You might try and work out a deal with another jeeper who would be willing to trade out parts plus cash.
