Default Track bar welded washers

So I got a case of the death wobble, but its only some times. Check out the front end and did not see any thing wrong or loose, the only thing I could not do was the track bar (need help to do it), but am wondering if I need to weld on some new washers is there anything to watch out for? What washers to use?( any kind that fit) Could I make my own out of steel?

I wouldn't use anything other than grade 8 washers.

I assume that just welds over the face of the mount? How is this any better than washers?

I wouldn't recommend people drilling their TB bearing inner races out

I would def make a beefed up bracket to cove the original hole before using washers or drilling! Save the money and just make one out of some quarter inch steel plate. The same thing happened to my xj and that is what I did. As far as the washer goes of you go that route I would recommend a plain hd steel washer I would not use grade 8 because that is a hardened steel and to weld those together with regular wire you would actually weaken the weld joint because the metals don't match

Yes I've been going over the check list When I get a bit of free time to play with the jeep. Got to girl friend to move the wheel, and there is no play at the track bar bolts. There seems to be a bit of play in the upper track bar bushing, and nothing at the bottom. I've checked all the torqued and its all within spec ( by my wrench). Im gonna look at the control arms in the morning and go all over the check list again, I have the whole day to play with it again. I did notice that the SS is leaking again, I know that this just masks the problems but can it cause my problems?
On the other side it seems that when I hit a big enough pot hole with the right (passenge) side it starts the wobble, Is there something to look at?
Thanks for the help guys.

I had that same feeling, wobbled when the right tire hit a bump at highway speed. My drag link end at the right wheel was shot.

By the way. You should still pull your track bar and inspect the holes. Mine looked tight as well but when I pulled it the holes were way big. You can't really duplicate the forces that death wobble can put on your jeep. If they are big, its probably shifting.

I went the TeraFlex route:

So there is no welding on the Teraflex bracket? That doesn't shift and keep the hole tight without welding?
