Default TPMS question

Hey everyone, if I put a set of OEM wheels from a 2015 JK on my 2011, will the TPMS system pick up the new sensors without issue? Or are they different, or do I need a scan tool? Thank you in advance!

You might get the sensor indication light to come on.. an a quick disco of the positive cable to the battery would reset these or have them professionally reset via a tire shop or if you actually have the tools to to do it yourself all the better. but typically these should receive a signal. I mean we swapped tires with a fellow and had no issues, but I did check each tire upon install just to see if the sensors were operational and the PSI was reading correctly.

They changed the sensors in 2013. Pre '12 and '13 plus aren't compatible.

^This.

2012- 315 MHZ
2013+ 433 MHz.

You can either swap the sensors out or disable the TPMS with a procal/flashcal type tool.

One learns something new every day.. I guess I'm old school.. I'd rather run no TPMS..
