I was in close to 1-2 feet snow yesterday and no issues.

I'm so close to pulling the trigger on these tires. Currently, I have a completely stock 2012 JKU. I've only got 3.21 gears on an automatic. I was at the tire shop today for about a hour trying to set in stone what direction I want to go. I've got the money sitting in my account, but can't seem to finalize my decision. I really want the 285/75/17, but I just don't want to have to invest in a lift. If I go 285/70/17, then I have the decision of load range "D" or "E". Goodness! Any input is greatly appreciated.

I have these tires 285/75/17 and run them at 29 psi. I have a leveling kit 2 inch front and 1 inch rear and 1.5 inch wheel spacers. I climbed a snow and ice covered trail and had no problems. Others more modified jeeps were having a hard time. Low road noise was why I chose these. Good luck.
