I have 285/75-17's on stock rims and I have a 2" aev lift and 1.5" spidertrax spacers but I did run them for a bit without the spacers and actually was ok other then at max wheel turn there is a bit of rubbing on the sway bar link and the left side rear control arms are close. If not hard off roading you would be fine. The only surface I have not had them on/in is deep mud so not sure how they would do in mud everything else they are great. I was in close to 1-2 feet snow yesterday and no issues.

I have these tires 285/75/17 and run them at 29 psi. I have a leveling kit 2 inch front and 1 inch rear and 1.5 inch wheel spacers. I climbed a snow and ice covered trail and had no problems. Others more modified jeeps were having a hard time. Low road noise was why I chose these. Good luck.
