Default Toyo Open Country R/T

I just purchased a 2015 JKU and am seriously looking at this tire in 35x12.50x17. Is anyone running these yet? I'm a fan of the concept here, with the R/T being a cross between their A/T (which I had before and loved) and the M/T's. I've ordered the AEV 2.5" lift and Pintler wheels, but am wondering if anyone has these yet?

look like great tires and I went to look into getting a set until they told me they were $458 a tire. I currently run 285/75-17 Toyo AT2 extremes and love them but thought the R/T's might be better but not for that price.

I know a guy doing a 4-runner build with a magazine that will be using these in 33". I hadn't heard of them until then and when I looked them up, I actually really like the idea. I run the m/t now and like them but as they wear, they get louder. And kind of suck in rain/snow. I will be moving to 37's at some point and was actually considering an A/T (even though I do rock crawling) but these R/T's might be the better choice.

I ran 285/75-17 Toyo A/T II's on my 09 JKU. After having those, I knew I wanted to stick with Toyo. Since they are a new tire, I've been told the R/T's are being produced in quantities on an "as needed basis." They are really scarce right now and the best I've found is $340 per, on their 35's.

I absolutely loved my 33" A/T's! I would be doing those again in 35" if it wasn't for the R/T's. Great concept IMO.

where did you find them for $340? that is doable, $458 is not for me.

I just looked those up and I'm interested myself! As soon as my Duratracs wear out I'm wanting to get into a true 35 or 37. I prefer to step up to a 37, but these R/Ts only come in a 37 for 20" wheels.

Maybe a JK on twennies and 37" tires might look ok???

These are the first 37s I've seen that are an aggressive on/off road tire. I do a TON of highway driving so on road capability is just as important to me. and the 37s are only 72lbs! I'm gonna have to google some 37s on 20s and see how it looks. Screams mall crawler to me, but correct me if I'm wrong!

Treaddepot has them for $333 when they are in stock. That's slightly cheaper than the $340 I paid from a local shop. The trouble right now is finding them...

yea but they want $50 shipping a tire and then mounting and balancing going add another $20 a tire at least. You got a once in a lifetime deal.
