Default Toyo open country Mt opinions.

looking at getting these tires because of price. I will be going with the 35/12.5 17.

So overall how are they?
With the really thick side walls I've heard airing down wouldn't give you much added traction. I've also heard they are heavy, but quite on the road, and wear well.

opinions from the experienced would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Rob309.

It is one of the best all around mud terrain tires you can buy. Great on and off road, balance with little to no weight, quiet, give good mileage if you take care of them. Yes they are a heavy tire, and the reason why they are so durable. The lighter a tire is, the less material that is there thus less durable. You are making a great choice

The toyos are my second set of 35's on my jeep. Went to them after running maxxis bighorns for a while. The toyos are super quiet on road, drive awesome in snow and rain and are unstoppable off road (so far). Yes, they don't flex as much when aired down to 10-12psi but these can pretty much be aired down to 6-8psi without the risk of breaking a bead. They are awesome. The weight sucks but the offset to that is the durability.

There are different factors, a chalk test is he best way to find out. More than likely 26-32 psi depending on load

Great tires... have been running 35x12.5x17 for 4 years and love them... They are heavy but after a while, you just get used to it and it's really not that big of a deal. Oh, my rig is also a daily driver
