Default Towing a JKU behind a motorhome

I've a 08 JKU with a 2.5 in metalcloak lift and 35s. I will be flat towing behind a class A motorhome this spring. I already have the brake system but was wondering what tow bars you guys use with aftermarket bumpers? Pics if you've got them. Thanks

Is this an automatic? Make sure to look to your owners manual for flat towing (my apology if you already know this) as there is a specific configuration so that you don't damage the transmission.

I have ARB Deluxe bumper on 3 1/2in lift w/35. We already had a Demco receiver style hitch. We took it to a Trailer shop and they used Demco, and Blue Ox parts to allow us to continue to use the hitch.
See picture to see how it is under the bumper. Its actually tucked behind the bumper also.

I tow my JKU all the time behind my motorhome and sometimes behind my truck. I use a Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain Tow Bar. This bar mounts to the tow rig receiver and then uses a quick connect system to attach to the towed (toad) vehicle. This is an "All Terrain - Non Binding" tow bar, so it articulates in all directions and connects/disconnects without having the toad in the "exact" correct position. I tow a lot, so this is an important feature for me.

There are various types of mounting options for the toad from the tow bar manufacturer. I am using Roadmaster's MX Series Brackets, which fit beneath the bumper and use a receiver type connection with a pin. These do hang below the bumper just a little so you decrease your approach angle a little bit. This has not been an issue for me - I have banged them on rocks a time or two but without damaging anything. Just a little scratched paint.

I am running a Poison Spyder Brawler front bumper and I was able to use these brackets by just drilling an extra hole in the bottom of the bumper. Otherwise these brackets mount to the Jeep's frame horns. This setup works well and I have been using it for almost 2 years.

If you don't have a bumper yet, I would look at Rockhard 4x4. They make a tow bar bracket that works with their bumper and connects to Roadmaster or Blu-Ox tow bars.

Another option if you already have a bumper with d-ring tabs - Roadmaster and Rockhard both make adapters to connect the tow bar to the d-ring tabs. I haven't used these, but they look like a good option to maintain approach angle on the Jeep.

EDIT - I just looked up your profile. If this is your bumper, you can probably use the Rockhard brackets.

This is not a big deal - just leave the transmission in park and place the transfer case in Neutral. Jeeps are very towing friendly.

Thanks for the feedback! Yes this is my bumper and it's an automatic. I knew how to flat tow with my set up but wanted to see others setup. Ive never flat towed and wanted to make sure I did it right.
