Default towing!? help

I have 09 4dr Jeep Sahara...it did not come with a tow package...what do I need to tow my pop up? Obviously a hitch but my main concern is the wiring...? Is the wiring hidden underneath by the muffler or something

I bought a wiring harness off amazon for less than 40 bucks. Plug right into to the rear tail light. 10 min install.

I added the 7 pin Mopar kit to my Jeep. I remember it being about $100. It was a breeze to install and has all the wiring for a brake controller the socket etc...

My tow hitch came with the wiring harness. They were both super easy to install and have worked well.

Does the popup weigh 2k or more? Does it have electric brakes? See if it does, or how much money to add them.

If it has or can have brakes, I would add a 7 pin harness (about $90) so you can add a brake controller. This guy did a nice writeup on the wiring install;

Quadratec has them, and so should your dealer.

I just added the harness (was easy) and a Prodigy P2 controller, and towing with brakes is pretty darn nice.

A 4 pin install is easier and of course cheaper, but you won't have the hookup for brakes.
