Torque for Rock krawler jam nuts

I just used a big adjustable wrench on my RC arms. There is no way of measuring specific torque with this method but I had a good idea. 50k miles no problems

We used the "Jesus" wrench to torgue the nuts down then just checked them every 250 miles for the first 1,000 miles. After that just check them after wheeling or during an oil change.

Lock the arm in a vice, put loctite on the threads, get a big wrench and put all your weight into it. Even if you put 300lbs of torque on them you won't damage anything.

Once the jam nut is jammed good and tight put a drop of paint on the nut and the arm. This will give you a visual reference to see if the jam nut is coming un-jammed.

So what im hearing is........nobody has a good way to properly toque them. I bought a 3/4" torque wrench and plan on using a 1-1/2" crowsfoot to get it done. Was hoping someone had tried something similar to this already

You don't have too, just make them as tight as you can while keeping the joints aligned. You can't over tighten them. If you can RK will give you new ones, they said so in their tech thread.

What size is the nut? I was thinking of buying a wrench and cutting down to fit in the tight spots to help tighten them. I am paranoid since I just installed it getting it all tight.

The arms take a 1-1/2" wrench ( but it fits loosely), the others are 1-5/16" wrench and it fits loosely to, i tried some metric sizes but none fit any better, kinda sucks considering the amount of torque they specify.....
