From a "fit" perspective the issue likely won't be the backspacing, it maybe the clearance of the 15" wheels around calipers and other parts.

There are a few good threads regarding this subject.

There are also other considerations like moving from a negative offset to a positive offset wheel. The stock wheels have a positive offset, while those MT's have a negative one.

True dat. But I was thinking about buying the Spidertrax adapters. They allow you to go from TJ to JK bolt patterns.
