Surprisngly a lot of tire dealers will do whatever it takes to get your business.

That is what i did last time i almost bought tires from tire rack. I ordered then went to shop and told them i was shipping to them because they were a "preferred" intstaller. the owner ask what tire and how much, i told him and they matched it. i called tirerack back and canceled my order. Of course i didnt tell them that the installer matched them and the owner was sure to mention that as well. I suppose they would be off the preferred list.

I just (minutes ago) ordered tires, wheels, and TPMS sensors from Discount Tire Direct. I have to tell you that Travis and I were sending numerous PMs over the last few days as I was finalizing my choice with assistance from the forum. He didn't have my final selection so he called up Cragar and had it added as a new item for his company.

Finalized the order over the phone with Dalton (great guy).

Pricing was fantastic as well and love the current 10% discount and the always available JK forum discount.

Can't speak about tirerack but I thought I let you know about my experience.

Well after doing some calling around I think ya'll might be right. Discount seem to be the best as far as warranty and price. Now I just need to narrow down what tire to go with. Most I talked to say I need to look at a All Terrain and not a mud tire sense I do use it on the highway too.
I want to stick with stock and I differently need a tire that can get more then 20,000 These tires Goodyear Wrangler SR A are just crap.
I still need a tire that can Handel mountain long gravel roads on regular basic. I have two other tires that show promise One I really like and have use them on my other vehicles.
The Down size is they don't make it in the size I need. Right now I have 255-75-17
This tire is BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO the only size I can get near to what I have now is 265/70R-17 So it would be a little wider and a little short on the height I am not sure if you would even be able to tell the different. I like the tread a lot on these. The other one I look at and has got great reviews even in the four wheel magazine and that tire is Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor P255/75R-17 now this is their All Terrain tire. The only thing I don't like is the tread it not as beefy looking as the BFG
Dose anybody know anything about Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor I am also not real sure about the Goodyear Wrangler after having them and only getting 20,000 out them.

I've had 2 sets of Wrangler Silent Armors on my liberty and my gmc canyon. The Liberty has over 50000 miles on them and they have been great. I could still probably get another 5000 miles out of this set of tires. They're great in the snow, mud, ice, rain and dry. I was worried too because the liberty came stock with those crappy Goodyear ST's, but these are night and day different.

The truck had over 31000 on its set of Silent Armors before we traded it in on the Wrangler.

As soon as I can afford it the Liberty and the Wrangler will both be getting a set. I'm thinking about 285/70/17 for the JK. I arranged for the local tire shop to trade me on the liberty tires before I even drove it off the lot. I got the truck tires from tirerack. I saved almost $400 over the local prices. Walmart will rotate your tires for about $1.50 a piece, but I would definitely have a tire shop do the mounting/balancing/and messing with the TPMS.

Good luck,

Clay

I've purchased wheels/tires from TireRack. The prices are decent and they're easy to deal with. If I'm just doing tires, though, I use TireRack as a price guide, and shop locally.

Tirerack is fast and cheap. Never had a problem getting the tires installed.

I've purchased tires and wheels from Tire Rack and Discount Tires over the years. Both are easy to order from and have great suggestions. I ship to a shop that knows they can't match the price, but I give them plenty of other business.

I say don't worry about it. If you'd started a new thread about the same subject, undoubtedly someone would have said there was a thread from 10 months ago, well before you were a member, with an entirely deceptive title ("What Should I Do About This?") that search had no chance in the world of recovering, but this person surely remembered as he excoriated you for starting yet a second thread on the same subject.
