Default Tires rotated...shimmv at 40mph

I just had my tires rotated for the first time. Its been about 5000 miles. Now I notice a shimmy in the steering wheel starting around 40 then goes away. Any ideas?

I agree. Just about every time I've rotated my tires, I needed to rebalance them. This is usually the case when the shimmy is speed-specific. I'd go have that done first and then see what happens.

Everytime I rotate my tires I at least have the fronts balanced or I have the same problems you described. Balance for sure.

Also make sure the lugs are properly torqued.

Could also just be the tire wear evening out. Might go away by itself.

I rotated my tires last week and had the same thing at 40 mph . Took it to get the tires balanced and both tires had to have weight added. 1 was 3 ounces out and the other was 10 ounces. Drives great again

I had the same problem two weeks ago. Then after I got my tires balanced it went away. Hope this helps
