Default tires on 18" wheels

I am wanting to run a 35" tall tire on my 18" Sahara wheel and I am wondering what sizes people are running? I saw someone was running a 305/70R18 but I couldnt find any tires on the internet in that size.

Try just searching for a 35x12.5/18 tire instead, its the size you're looking for, and they are starting to just use the LT size designations now more and more anyway.

That is the metric size equivalent...that's why I translated it for you.

You wanted a 35" diameter tire....hence the "35"

You wanted a 305 mm sidewall P Metric, so that's a 12.5" LT equivalent...hence the "12.5"

You have an 18" rim...so, put it all together, and you get a 35x12.5/18 LT tire, so that you get your equivalent to a 305/70/18 Passenger tire.

You already searched for, and did not find the passenger tire size...so I gave you the LT size so you can now easily find a tire in the size you wanted.

I understand the translation I was wondering if in metric sizes if there is any other variation either a little taller, shorter, wider, thinner?

Of course there are...go to the links, and look at the sizes NEXT to the one's listed.

I suppose if you said what you wanted...that would stream line things.

There are tires taller and shorter than 35"...what diameter do you want?

There are tires with wider, and narrower section widths....what width do you want?

18" tires are not covered with much depth, so there will not be a fine graduation from size to size...but there are certainly tires over and under your starting specs.

Another key question...do you want MT's, or AT's...and do you want to do rocks, sand, mud, pavement, etc....and how much do you want to sacrifice ability on one, to maximize ability on another?

THAT will really help to narrow the choices down for you.

(Size isn't everything...)
