Default Tires for 17" rims

I'm looking for new tires and need to know am I limited to 255/75R/17 with the 17" rims?

Youre not limited but I believe the biggest you can run comfortably without rubbing is like a 285/70/17, which is basically a 33x1150 i think, but im not exactly sure the biggest tire you can actually run on the stock 17s without wheel spacers.

I am running a 315/70R17 on the stock rims with 2" coil lift and Spidertrax spacers. No problems and it looks great. Check out my gallery.

Some people are putting 35's on the stock wheels with wheel spacers. I thought about it, even got my wife's approval.

But I don't know, I think that I will be going for the 285/70r17 BFG AT ko's or the BFG MT Km2's. Still undecided

Stock 17" wheels with 35x12.50R17 Nitto Mud Grapplers. 2.5" Rubicon Experss Lift and 1.5" Spidertrax wheels spacers

That is the look I am looking for.
What tires are those?
Is a coil lift cheaper than a whole lift kit?
If you don't mind me askin' how much
you have wrapped up in that setup?
