I do what I want with my vehicles... I've fought the "warrantee battle" on 100% stock vehicles. It seems the dealers job is to NOT have warranty claims.

Yea I love 'em. and they are very high! I am a surveying student and last summer I worked for a local surveyor, saved up lots of money and then blew it all. I mean every last penny of it on lift, tires, and rack for my jeep. But, that's why I saved it. So I could spend it on something I really wanted!

11.5, if it's just for cruising.

But you'll be able to turn fine without rubbing on the disconnects or coils. However, you can purchase 1.25" wheelspacers (very cheap, but strong) for your factory wheels, and will then be able to put 12.5 wide tires on them. If you want to go past 33" tires I would then recommend a 2" budget boost (very affordable and reliable).

Max tire on stock rims -- 33x11.5 w/out rockcrawling, but dirt roads and little flex is fine.

Max tire on stock rims with spacer -- 33x12.5 w/out rock crawling, but dirt roads and a little flex is fine with minor rubbing.
Stock Rubi tires are just 255/75 which is 32.1x~10.

I am looking at cooper discover STTs, seems about as good an all around tire as you can get, and cheaper than the BFGs.

It is probably 50% for looks, 50% for wet fields, old logging roads, dirt two tracks.

I really don't want to trim on this thing, thats what my XJ is for... I have no problem adjusting the turning stops though.

I have a set of spacers on the way, so rubbing is no worry. Not going to offroad it for a few years, I have another jeep for that.

So 12.5 or 11.5, any thoughts?
Sounds like based on your criteria the 11.5" would be the better choice, they should be better all around for the street, and less of a warranty issue (though for some dealers any tire size incease will start trouble, while others don't care what you have). Only you can determine if the marginal on-road benefit of the 11.5's outweighs your stated preference for the look of the 12.5's.

Well long story short, I went 285/70. It's about as good on the street as it will get with a 33. With wheel spacers it will still look good. Plus, 12.5 would have been technically illegal as far as sticking out past the flare. I don't plan on keeping an extra set of inspection tires/rims for this one. And, at the end of the day the 285/70 was about $50 cheaper per tire, which covered most of the cost of the 5th tire.

Thanks for everyones advice!
