Tire Wear and the Wobble

Tire Wear and the Wobble
So to start I bought a set of 5 wheels and tires and got them shipped assembled and balanced. I bolted them on.
Just this past weekend (about 6k miles in, I meant to do them at 4k but things got busy) I rotated them, Spare to RR, RR to RF, RF to LR, LR to LF and LF to Spare. After changing them I noticed a vibration in the steering wheel so I figured a tire was out of balance in the front. So I stopped this morning at my local Jeep dealer to get them balanced and figured I would get an oil change since I am taking a road trip in about a week. Well the tech comes over and tells me I need new tires. He brings me over and in front of me tries to RoadForce balance the front tires. Even with a ton of weight he still could not get them to balance and basically tells me I need new tires. At this point he has only checked the front two tires (which were in the back before I rotated). So I asked him to check the rest of the tires. After testing them all, he tells me that, like just stated, the two front tires (originally in the back) were completely out of spec and could not be balanced, the two tires that were originally in the front were also out of spec by a small amount (ie he could not fully balance them) and the spare was just barely in spec. His words (and he said something about 10 for the spare??? assuming he meant it took 10oz?).
So I am kind of confused. If tires in the rear were badly out of balance, shouldnt I have felt something?

You would think you would feel something but my tires have the same issue. I got them balanced but three of the five had to have a lot of weights to balance them and one was so bad that we balanced it as best we could and made it the permanent spare. I think is has about 12 or so oz. on it.
I have procomp extreme M/T..... Will not be buying those again. I have about 28k on them right now and rotate them every 6k miles.
X2 Curious as to what brand are you running.

I'm running the Goodrich TA K/Os.
Two were so bad that they were using 24+ weights (1oz a piece) and they still weren't balanced. They were close to it I believe, but according to their roadforce balancer they weren't. Those ones are on the back right now. The ones on the front I believe are one side around 10 and the other like 15 or so. If I recall correctly the tech said he shouldnt be having to add that much weight. He said he typically sees around 3oz on goodrichs on average.
Of course this is the dealer I am talking about. Saturday I will have to drive 2 hours to the place I got the tires and they are going to take a look.

I don't think he did, but then again I was only walked by there briefly for him to show me him running it just once. He had a whole brick of weights on the rim and the cpu was still coming back saying it was unbalanced.

The only thing I can think of is that they were never in balance in the first place and they progressively got worse. But even then I would have thought I would have had a rough ride or at least felt a little shake or so.

It's unusal for the bfg at's to need that much weight, spinning the tire on the rim is a known trick to get things to balance a little better.
The only way it could be that far off would be literal gouges out of the tread. He's not doing something right is my opinion.

Yh I called up the place I got them and he wants to take a look at them. He thinks the same that you do. Just wish I did not have to drive that far. The guy is also telling me that if they are truly bad tires and can't be balanced then if the tread wear is even then goodrich will replace them as defective. However if they have uneven wear he basically said I am screwed. Sounds a little odd though because if the tires were defective and out of balance then they would wear unevenly.
Not to mention that regardless if they are covered by warranty or not, the guy does not have my tires in stock and neither do any of the other stores in the entire state of florida apparently lol. So hopefully he can balance them.
