TIRE suggestions... from So Cal to Wisconsin winters
so I have been running my Toyo MT 35x12.5 R18 for almost 5 years (37,000 miles). Last year I moved from sunny southern California to Wisconsin.
I suffered through the winter on what appeared to be ice skates.
so now as winter is approaching, I am in search of new shoes for my JK. The MT's are about to retire anyway. So I want something that is going to keep me on the snow/ice roads, but I also want something that looks good. trying to stay away from the pizza cutter look.
any suggestion?
can you go with a 35x12.50R18, All-Terrain T/A KO2? or would you need to get something a bit narrower?
should I consider going down to a 33? is there any advantage in the snow with a smaller tire?
Thanks in advance for the help

Tire height won't really matter for snow/ice. Width has the most effect along with tread pattern. Most MT's do not fair well on snow/ice. An all-terrain is the best option. 12.50 width should be fine, but may track a little in deep snow. There are some good AT's out there. Search and you'll find tons of threads with info

I have the 35 x 12.5x 17 KO2's and live in the North East and they have served me well. Honestly they work too well, as in 4 wheel drive its almost impossible to have fun. You need to put it into 2 wheel drive to loose any traction. I can't speak to other brands but as for these you will be happy.

Like said above, KO2's should work. Goodyear Duratracs are AMAZING in snow AND are ready to be studded if necessary. Very aggressive look also, a cross between an AT and an MT tire. I lived in Eau Claire for years and they never failed
