Default Tire size question

Can I run 305/70/16 on a wheel with 4.5 back spacing?
I do not have a lift.....

Yes you can but you will have some rubbing at full lock

My wifes jku has rough country 3.5 lift with 305/70/16 on 16x8 4.5 bs and the tires rub on the lca @ full lock.

Wow, so it sounds like I will have some rubbing issues even with a small lift then....

I think it depends really. People on here rub with a 2.5 inch lift, and some don't. Depends on what kind of wheeling you would be doing.

Dis-reguard my last post I went out to change the oil in the wifes jeep and I noticed that I installed the lca backwards. I know it was a dipsh*t move but I did it that's all I can say bout that. However after I turns it around there's no more rub @ full lock... so you maybe fine after all. Sorry if I mislead you.

Ok, So then I could likely run the 305's with little or no rubbing without the lift...and likely none at all with a small lift?

You should be fine, my wife drove hers w/o lift for 3 days but it was all highway and city driving, no off road to speak of
