I'd stick with 33's. Your friend probably has 325/60-18 tires which are basically a 33x13.00-18 tire. The Nitto Terra Grappler is an excellent all terrian tire. I'd also consider the BFG AT KO, Toyo AT, Mickey Thompson ATZ, Pro Comp Xtreme AT and Dick Cepek FC II. I'd go with a 9 inch wide wheel with 4.5 inches of backspacing. The rim diameter is strictly a matter of personal preference.

All depends on which size wheel you go with. 33" tires for a 16" rim are going to be quite a bit cheaper than 33" tires for a 18" rim. I would also look into the Goodyear Duratrac as a contender.

Exactly. As a general rule, the larger the wheel diameter the more the tire will cost. For example, even though they are all basically 33x12.50 tires, a 305/55-20 will cost more than a 305/65-17 or 305/70-16.
As for prices, take a look at 4Wheel Parts website. They are a large chain and their prices will give you a good idea of what to expect.

Falken Wild Peak AT is a sick AT! WOL ran them for a while and recommends them. Hell he got better mileage and never got stuck. 33x12.50x17 if I were you. BFG AT is a tested tire too.

If it's a Sahara, you probably have 18" wheels on it... if you didn't want to change your wheels, we offer the Wildpeak A/T in a 305/65R18. This size measures out at 33.4 x 12.3.

Check our site for all sizes and specs.

If you call Discount Tire Direct, and tell them you are a member of JK Forum they will give you $50 off your purchase of the Wildpeaks.

Good Luck!

BFG also makes the AT KO in 305/65-18 which is essentially a 34x12.50 tire.
