Tire/Rim question

Correct. Important to note you don't wanna be running 35-45 psi with that setup. . Manufacturer specs for these tires are based on heavy trucks (especially D and E rated tires), not Jeeps. Hence why they say 9-10" wide wheels and recommend an assload of psi in them lol. That might be ideal for trucks, but not for jeeps that weigh much less and also oar down to 10psi or less on the trail.

I ran 10" with 33 x 12.5's and hated it from the get go; wished I would have gone with 8.5's.

It depends on the wheel. My 15x8" MB TKO's have no issue whatsover. My friends procomp 98 series have no issues. Most of them with 3.75" backspacing should be ok, but steel wheels are hit and miss. PM Discount Tire on here. They have a list of 15's that they carry that fit the JK's. They are a love hate thing in the JK world. I love the looks and at $1550 for 4 wheels and 35" tires, i have no complaints

Correct, but again, it depends what brand you go with. Different manufactures use different designs with different dimensions. Most 15" wheels will require you to grind the top of the caliper to prevent rubbing. Remember with these tight clearances it'll hold more heat too with less room for air circulation. I'd stick with a 16" wheel as minimum, it's up to you.
