Default Tire question

I want to keep the stock size tires but want a more aggresive tread pattern. Are there any choices if I use a smaller rim 15 or 16inch? I dont only do minor trails and its my daily driver so I dont want larger tires or a lift. Any advice??

There are plenty of options. What size wheels do you have now? Is there a want to change them, or simply just the tires?
