If its a small pocket of air, it will do no harm. Its just cosmetic. If its harder and stiffer to push, yes the internal plys may be pushing out during inflation. Likely never to cause failure but because its been noted and you have a failure ( hurt someone or yourself ) you could say " hey they were bad brand new " and lawsuit blah blah.

My 7 years with tires in commercial vehicles and repairing them, its likely fine. But take the new ones!

Don't know about car tire policies, butt at my motorcycle shop I wouldn't put those on a customers bike I would get them another one. I want to know that when the customer leaves the shop we put the best time and equipment that we could on it. Every shop has their own rules as what is acceptable and what is not. Take the new tires and know that your shop is looking out for you.

If GY is willing to replace them without pushing, they prob know they need to be taken back. They I'll most likely pull the lot #'s and check the batch. Get the newbies.
